Anne Cherrington, of Paraparaumu Club, donated this trophy to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Paraparaumu Club in the 2010-11 season.
It is played for annually between the Waikanae, Plimmerton and Paraparaumu Clubs - the venue is rotated between the Clubs. The host Captain arranges a date (preferably a Sunday morning) with the other Captains. Each Club enters two doubles teams and each team plays all the teams from the other Clubs. Each team must have one player with handicap 7 or lower and one player with handicap 8 or higher. The names and handicaps to be submitted to the Host Club at least one week in advance. All games are thirteen hoop Golf Croquet games with a 45 minute time limit. The winning Club will be the Club with the most wins. If the number of wins are equal, then the team with the most hoops wins. Usually played in April |

The Ellis Cup was donated by Kapiti businessman Peter Ellis to promote an event that was both fun and energetic. Played for annually by Waikanae, Plimmerton and Paraparaumu in conjunction with the Cherrington Cup.
"Speedball" is a limited form of croquet with a team of four playing against the clock. Clubs may enter 1 or 2 teams of 4 players (they may be players from the Cherrington Trophy competition). Each team plays 3 rounds in sequence. No swapping of team members is permitted. Usually played in April |

A maximium of 16 players from each club playing in pairs, four rounds of GC handicapped using bisques. Each pair to be high and low handicapped. Each game will be 45 minutes timed. If the score is even when time is up, play continues until a hoop is won. Golf index cards to be used. The club with the most wins wins the challenge. A countback on hoops will decide the winner if the number of wins is even. Each club will host on alternate years. Captains are to forward their teams with handicaps one month prior to match date. |
